Scenario-Based Sensitivity Analysis
A step-by-step guide for conducting sensitivity analysis, showing how to create and compare scenarios within a project.
Use this feature to test how changes to your assumptions or inputs affect overall impact outcomes. This is helpful when comparing alternatives or exploring uncertainty across key parameters.
Visual Tutorial:

1. Add Scenarios
To begin, navigate to the “Baseline” tab from your project view. Click “Duplicate Current Scenario” to create a new one.
Each scenario represents a variation of your base model, allowing you to explore alternative assumptions without altering your original data.
2. Choose Scenario Name
Give your scenario a clear name that reflects the changes it will include (e.g. “Low Recovery Rate” or “Alt Transport Route”).
Click the green check-mark to save.
3. Edit Inputs
Within the scenario, navigate to the same modelling interface you’re familiar with. You can adjust any field, such as values, suppliers, background data, or allocation methods.
The changes will only apply to this scenario and won’t affect the original project or any other scenario.
4. Compare Scenarios
To view your results and the impact differences between scenarios, click the “charts” icon.
Select the scenarios you want to compare. The system will visualise the differences in environmental impacts, helping you understand how each change affects results.
5. Delete or Rename Scenarios
You can rename or delete any scenario at any time using the options in the dropdown menu.
Remember, deleting a scenario will permanently remove its unique data and results.
